Nayyereh Aminisani PhD

Current Position: Assistant professor of Epidemiology at the Department of Statistics and Epidemiology, Tabriz University of Medical Sciences, Tabriz, Iran.

She earned her MSc (1999) degree in epidemiology from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, and her PhD (2012) from the University of Sydney in Australia.

In 1999, she joined the faculty of Health Sciences at Mashhad University of Medical Sciences as lecturer. She joined the Department of health sciences at Ardabil University of Medical Sciences, where she served as lecturer and research consultant from 2001 to 2006. She awarded PhD scholarship to do her PhD in epidemiology In Australia.

She has been involved in many different type of research studies as well as studies using linked administrative data. She has extensive experience in design, management and analysis of large population- based studies especially Cohort Studies and currently is principal investigator of different cohort studies.

Dr Aminisani has received research outstanding awards 3 times, she also received Shaheed Mottahari award for introducing the “Epidemiology Competency Lab “. She has published numerous papers in different journals and presented her work at national and international conferences.
